Kalama Academy is a web-based educational program of the Kalama School District that provides instructor-led online courses to grade 4-12 students who are not currently enrolled in the Kalama School District, but live within the school district boundaries. The program is offered through an agreement with Spokane Public Schools and Spokane Virtual Learning (SVL). Additionally, on a limited basis, students can take courses that are not available at Kalama MS/HS high school as part of their regular schedule. Students can also complete additional courses on a fee-based system.
Kalama Academy is an ideal environment for home school students, student's currently accessing other online options or other motivated learners seeking the independence of completing coursework that runs “parallel” with the Kalama Schools District's curriculum. Spend some time reading through the Useful Links and Helpful Documents resources provided below, then see the appropriate building contact to learn about enrolling. Students should register in person at the school and not through the website.
